पहलवानों के समर्थन में राज ठाकरे भी उतर आए हैं. एमएनएस चीफ राज ठाकरे ने इस मामले में देश के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को चिट्ठी लिखी है. चिट्ठी में राज ठाकरे ने लिखा कि पहलवानों का इस तरह से अपना मेडल बहाने जाना देश के लिए शर्मनाक है और सरकार को उनकी मांगों की तरफ ध्यान देना चाहिए.
