सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गुजरात सरकार के उस फ़ैसले को पलट दिया है, जिसमें साल 2022 में बिलकिस बानो से गैंगरेप और उसके परिवार के सात सदस्यों की हत्या के दोषियों की सज़ा माफ़ कर दी गई थी. बिलकिस बानो केस में गुजरात सरकार को SC से मात मिल गई है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि गुजरात सरकार को नहीं, बल्कि महाराष्ट्र सरकार को रिहाई के बारे में फ़ैसला लेने का अधिकार है. कोर्ट का कहना था कि चूंकि इस मामले में ट्रायल महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था. देखें बड़ी खबरें.

The Supreme Court has overturned the decision of the Gujarat government, in which the punishment of those convicted of gang rape of Bilkis Bano and murder of seven members of her family was forgiven in the year 2022. Gujarat government has been squashed by SC in Bilkis Bano case. The Supreme Court said that not the Gujarat government, but the Maharashtra government has the right to take the decision regarding the release.
