अंबिका सोनी ने ठुकराया CM पद का ऑफर, कहा-पंजाब का मुख्यमंत्री एक सिख ही हो

कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह के इस्तीफे के बाद पंजाब के अगले मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में अंबिका सोनी का नाम सबसे आगे चल रहा था. कांग्रेस हाईकमान भी उनके हाथों में ही पंजाब की कमान सौंपना चाहता है. अंबिका सोनी करीब 50 सालों से राजनीति में हैं. हालांकि, बताया जा रहा है कि अंबिका सोनी ने मुख्यमंत्री बनने से इनकार कर दिया है. अंबिका सोनी ने कांग्रेस आलाकमान को मुख्यमंत्री बनने से ये कहते हुए इनकार कर दिया है कि वो इस वक्त मुख्यमंत्री नहीं बनना चाहतीं. अंबिका सोनी खत्री हिंदू हैं और उन्होंने सिख को मुख्यमंत्री बनाने की बात कही है. उनका कहना है कि पंजाब में सिख नहीं होगा तो और कौन होगा. अंबिका सोनी ने ये भी कहा है कि वो पार्टी की लॉयल हैं और सम्मान करती हैं, लेकिन वो मुख्यमंत्री पद नहीं संभालना चाहतीं. आजतक के साथ हुई बातचीत में अंबिका सोनी ने बताया कि पंजाब का सीएम एक सिख ही होगा. देखें आगे क्या बोलीं अंबिका सोनी.

Amid high speculation that who will be the next Chief Minister of Punjab, Congress leader Ambika Soni has declined to become the state chief. Sources close to her said she has instead suggested that a Sikh become the Punjab Chief Minister. After the refusal, the Congress which wanted Ambika to become the CM after Amarinder Singh resigned, the party is now considering other names, including Pratap Singh Bajwa, Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa.
