बागेश्वर वाले बाबा का विवाद थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है, एक धड़ा ऐसा है जो बाबा धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री पर अंध विश्वास फैलाने का आरोप लगा रहा है तो दूसरी ओर एक धड़ा ऐसा है जो बाबा धीरेंद्र शास्त्री के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर खड़ा है. बयानबाजियों का दौर जारी है, बाबा के विरोध हैं तो समर्थक भी उतनी तादाद में हैं.
