उत्तर प्रदेश में कांवड़ यात्रा की इजाजत देने के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है. जस्टिस फली नरीमन की बेंच ने मामले में स्वतः संज्ञान लेते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को नोटिस जारी किया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट में मामले की सुनवाई 16 जुलाई को होगी. दरअसल, मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने योगी आदित्यनाथ ने उत्तर प्रदेश में कांवड़ यात्रा निकालने की अनुमति दे दी है. हालांकि, उन्होंने आदेश दिया है कि पारंपरिक कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान सभी प्रोटोकॉल का पालन हो. मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने कहा कि कोरोना संक्रमण को लेकर विशेषज्ञों के भविष्य के आकलनों को ध्यान में रखते ही कांवड़ यात्रा का आयोजन किया जाए. देखें
The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognisance over Uttar Pradesh allowing the annual Kanwar Yatra amid the fears of a third Covid wave. The Supreme Court bench of Justice RF Nariman on Wednesday issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on its decision to proceed with the Kanwar Yatra this year. The matter will be up for hearing on July 16. The Uttar Pradesh government has allowed the annual Kanwar Yatra in the state from July 25 and officials have been asked to coordinate with neighbouring states to ensure Covid guidelines are followed.
