भारत और मालदीव के बीच पैदा हुए विवाद के बीच नेशनल कॉन्फ्रेंस नेता फारूक अब्दुल्ला का बयान आया है. उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदुस्तान ने हमेशा मालदीव की मदद की है. साथ ही कहा कि उन्हें नहीं पता कि मालदीव और हिंदुस्तान में ये विवाद क्यों हो रहा है लेकिन भारत में हिंदू और मुसलमान में नफरत भी इसकी वजह हो सकती है.
