प्राचीन सुर्य मंदिर 'मार्तंड मंदिर' के तीनों कुंडों को परम पवित्र माने जाते हैं. तीनों कुंडों का नाम है- कमल कुंड, विमल कुंड और गौरी कुंड. पौराणिक मानयतों के अनुसार कश्मीर नाग प्रजाति के लोगों का सबसे प्रमुख केंद्र था 'अनंतनाग'. इन्हीं कुंड के परिधियों से वो रिस्ता जुड़ता है जिसके वजह से कश्मीर को महर्षि कश्यप का भूमि कहा गया. माना जाता है कि कश्यप से ही कश्मीर की उत्पति होती है. देखें वीडियो.
