Moderna said interim results from ongoing human trials show that its novel coronavirus vaccine candidate appears to be 94.5 per cent effective in preventing a Covid-19 infection, the deadly disease that has caused a global pandemic. Moderna's and Pfizer's back-to-back positive announcements offer the world much-needed hope.
