कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी पौने दस बजे दफ्तर पहुंचे और महंगाई को लेकर सरकार के खिलाफ जंग का ऐलान कर दिया. देशव्यापी प्रदर्शन के लिए कांग्रेस ने दफ़्तर के भीतर पूरा इंतजाम कर रखा था. देशभर से महिला और पुरुष कार्यकर्ता बुलाए गए थे. कांग्रेस दफ्तर के ग्राउंड में कार्यकर्ताओं के रहने और सोने के लिए बाकायदा टेंट लगाए गए. कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं की कोशिश जहां प्रधानमंत्री आवास को घेरने की थी वहीं दिल्ली पुलिस ने इतने बैरिकेड लगाए कि कांग्रेस दफ्तर के आसपास का इलाका लगभग छावनी में तब्दील हो चुका था. दिल्ली से देश तक, कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता सड़कों पर नजर आए. चित्रा त्रिपाठी के साथ देखिए शंखनाद.
For the nationwide demonstration, Congress had made complete arrangements inside the office. Women and men workers were called from all over the country. Tents were set up on the grounds of the Congress office for the workers. While the Congress workers tried to surround the Prime Minister's residence, the Delhi Police put up so many barricades that the area around the Congress office had almost turned into a cantonment.
