राज्यसभा में बुधवार को नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पेश किया गया. बीजेपी सांसद जेपी नड्डा ने कहा कि आज इस बिल से लाखों लोगों को सम्मान मिलेगा. साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि आजादी के बाद पाकिस्तान में लगातार अल्पसंख्यकों की संख्या घटी है जबकि भारत में अल्पसंख्यकों की संख्या बढ़ी है. साथ ही आंकड़ों का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि देश में अल्पसंख्यकों की आबादी1951 में 9.8 फीसदी थी जो 2018 में 14 फीसदी हो गई.
