जिस मुलाकात को वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली चलते-चलते हुई मुलाकात बता रहे थे उसे कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने सोची-समझी मुलाकात बताया है. राहल गांधी ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की और सीधा आरोप लगाया कि माल्या केस में जेटली झूठ बोल रहे हैं. उन्होंने माल्या के साथ बाकायदा मुलाकात की और भगोड़े को भगाने में देश के वित्त मंत्री का हाथ है. कांग्रेस का ये भी आरोप है कि हो सकता है जेटली को पीएम से आदेश मिला हो.
