बच्चे पढ़ें, स्वस्थ रहें, गरीबों के बच्चों को सरकारी स्कूल में पौष्टिक खाना मिले, देश का भविष्य सुरक्षित रहे. इन सबकी जिम्मेदारी निभाने वाली महिलाएं लाचार हो जाती हैं. जब महीने, दो महीने नहीं बल्कि आठ आठ महीने तक इनकी मेहतन का मानदेय देने में सिस्टम लचर हो जाता है. जो रोज सात घंटे काम करने के बदले पचास रुपए पाने वाली महिला रसोइया का हक भी समय से नहीं देते. उत्तर प्रदेश में मिड डे मील बनाकर बच्चों को खिलाने वाली करीब चार लाख महिला रसोइया का आठ महीने से पैसा रोककर रखा रहा है. महिलाओं ने दस्तक दी, अब जाकर चार महीने का उनके अधिकार का पैसा जारी होने लगा है. देखें पूरी वीडियो.

Despite tall claims of the state government about not facing a fund crunch, cooks and helpers alleged that they had to run from pillar to post to get their honorarium.
