एसपी-बीएसपी गठबंधन में RLD के शामिल होने की अटकलों के बीच जयंत चौधरी ने अखिलेश यादव से मुलाकात की. मुलाकात के बात जयंत चौधरी के चेहरे की मुस्कान बता रही थी कि RLD की उम्मीदें अभी बरकरार हैं. सूत्रों के मुताबिक, अखिलेश यादव ने जयंत चौधरी को अपने कोटे से 1 सीट का ऑफर दिया. यह सीट मथुरा, हाथरस और बुलंदशहर में से एक हो सकती है. इसके अलावा गठबंधन की ओर से आरएलडी को 2 सीटें बागपत और मुजफ्फरनगर दी जाएगी. यानि आरएलडी को 3 सीटें दी जाएंगी. इससे पहले अखिलेश से मिलने के बाद जयंत ने कहा कि बीजेपी के खिलाफ और मोदी सरकार के किसान विरोधी नीति के खिलाफ गठबंधन पूरे देश में खड़ा होगा. सीट की कोई बात नहीं है सवाल रिश्ते का है. इसमें हम लोग काफी मजबूत रहेंगे.
