देश में आम चुनाव से पहले राम मंदिर का मुद्दा गरमाया हुआ है और जहां राष्ट्रीय स्वंय सेवक संघ (आरएसएस) और विश्व हिंदू परिषद (वीएचपी) ने राम मंदिर को लेकर आंदोलन तेज कर दिया है, वहीं इसके बीच पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने बीजेपी पर निशाना साधा है. ममता बनर्जी ने कहा कि बीजेपी राम की नहीं रावण की पूजा करती है. एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी राम की नहीं रावण की पूजा करती है और लोगों के बीच मतभेद पैदा करने का काम करती है. उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी भगवान के नाम पर लोगों को बांटती है. वो उन राम की बात करते हैं जो मां दुर्गा की पूजा करते हैं.
