During discussion on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Lok Sabha, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said we are opposing this Bill because it is the violation of fundamental rights. He also said, save the country from such a law. Replying to the questions raised by Opposition leaders, Home Minister Amit Shah said Citizenship (Amendment) Bill is not the violation of any fundamental right.
