इस्तीफे के बाद पंजाब नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू ने पहली बार बयान दिया है. इसमें कहा कि वो पंजाब के हितों से कभी समझौता नहीं करेंगे, वो जो कुछ भी कर रहे हैं वो उनकी निजी नहीं बल्कि पंजाब के हित की लड़ाई है. हालांकि कांग्रेस में दो फाड़ हो गया है. मनीष तिवारी ने कैप्टन का पक्ष लिया और कहा कि जिनको पंजाब कि जिम्मेदारी दी गई वो पंजाब को नहीं समझ पाए. पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने कहा कि मैंने कहा था कि वो स्थिर आदमी नहीं हैं. पंजाब जैसे सीमावर्ती राज्य के लिए सिद्धू फिट नहीं हैं. वहीं सिद्धू ने अपने इस्तीफे पर सफाई देथे हुए कहा है कि न मैं हाईकमान को गुमराह कर सकता, न गुमराह होने दे सकता हूं. मैं पंजाब के लिए, हक और सच की लड़ाई आखिरी दम तक लड़ता रहूंगा. इंसाफ के लिए लड़ाई लड़ने के लिए, पंजाब के लोगों की जिंदगी को बेहतर करने के लिए मैं किसी भी चीज की कुर्बानी दे दूंगा. देखें ये वीडियो.
