भारत में कुल बिजली उत्पादन का 70% हिस्सा कोयले के जरिए ही होता है.ऐसे में दावा है कि कोयले की कमी हो रही है. कोयला कम है तो बिजली कम बन रही है। डिमांड गर्मी में बढ़ी है. सप्लाई उसके मुताबिक हो नहीं रही तो फिर बिजली कट रही है. देश में 173 थर्मल प्लांट में से 85 प्लांट जो घरेलू कोयले से चलते हैं उनमें दावा है कि 25 फीसदी स्टॉक ही बचा है. 11 प्लांट जो आयात किए कोयले से चलते हैं, वहां कोयले की भारी कमी हो रही है. 54 प्राइवेट पावर प्लांट में से 28 पावर प्लांट में कोयला की कमी बताई जा रही है. राजस्थान के सभी 7 थर्मल प्लांट में इस वक्त कोयले की कमी है. दावा है कि यूपी के 4 में से तीन थर्मल प्लांट में कोयले की कमी है. देखें क्या बोले देश के कोयला मंत्री.
