विजय रुपाणी के इस्तीफा देने के बाद भूपेंद्र पटेल को गुजरात का नया मुख्यमंत्री बनाया गया है. इसका ऐलान बीजेपी की विधायक दल की बैठक में केंद्रीय मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर द्वारा किया गया. गुजरात में रविवार को विधायक दल की हुई बैठक में भूपेंद्र पटेल के नाम पर मुहर लगा दी गई. नए सीएम के नाम को लेकर मंथन कल से ही चल रहा था और आज बीजेपी की विधायक दल की बैठक में केंद्रीय मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर और गुजरात के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपाणी की उपस्थिति में ये एलान किया गया. बता दें कि भूपेंद्र पटेल 2017 में पहली बार विधायक बने थे. उनसे पहले इसी सीट से पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री आनंदीबेन पटेल ने भी चुनाव जीता था. भूपेंद्र पटेल अहमदाबाद अर्बन डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी के चेयरमैन रहे हैं. बैठक के दौरान जब भूपेंद्र पटेल के नाम का ऐलान हुआ तो उन्होंने विक्ट्री साइन बनाकर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दी. वहीं गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने भूपेंद्र पटेल को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि उनके नेतृत्व में गुजरात के विकास को नई ऊर्जा मिलेगी. भूपेंद्र पटेल के गुजरात के सीएम बनने पर विजय रुपाणी, नितिन पटेल, सीआर पाटिल, मनसुख मंडाविया भी बधाई देते नजर आए, देखें ये वीडियो.

Bhupendra Patel, the MLA from Ghatlodia, was named at a meeting of state BJP MLAs on Sunday afternoon in the presence of central observers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Joshi and party general secretary Tarun Chaug.
