यमुना नदी की स्थिति राजधानी नई दिल्ली में दयनीय है. नदी का प्रदूषण का स्तर बहुत ज्यादा बढ़ चुका है. नदी में गंदगी (जहरीले केमिकल और नाले का पानी) के कारण झाग दिख रहे हैं. दिल्ली की हवा के साथ-साथ नदी का पानी भी जहरीली हो गई है. लेकिन, ऐसे में परिस्थितियों में भी लोगों के ऊपर आस्था भारी है. यमुना नदी के किनारे कई छठ व्रती पूजा करते दिखीं. व्रती प्रदूषित यमूना नदी में छठ मनाने को मजबूर हैं. आज तक संवाददाता सुशांत महेरा ने छठ व्रतीयों से नदी के प्रदूषण को लेकर बातचीत की है. देखें वीडियो.
Delhi battles toxic air and poisonous water. Several Delhiites witnessed marking the Chhath puja celebrations in the toxic waters of Yamuna amid surging white foam. During the four-day festival, devotees baths at the bank of rivers as part of rituals. But they are left with no options to bathe in the toxic river.
