बंगाल चुनाव के शेष चार चरणों वाले वो क्षेत्र भी हैं जहां से असदउद्दीन ओवैसी को भी बंगाल में मजलिस का झंडा फहराने की उम्मीद मजबूत होती दिखती है. उन्होनें कुल सात सीट पर अपने प्रत्याशी उतारे हैं. फुरफुरा शरीफ के अब्बास सिद्दीकी के साथ ओवैसी का गठबंधन न होने की सूरत में समझा जा रहा था कि ओवैसी बंगाल के खेल में मैदान के बाहर ही रहेंगे, लेकिन मुस्लिम वोटों के समीकरण को समझते ही आखिर वो उतर ही आए.
