अब ओमिक्रॉन के खिलाफ इम्युनिटी बढ़ाने के लिए वैक्सीन की बूस्टर डोज़ पर भी बहस छिड़ी हुई है. ब्रिटेन की हेल्थ सिक्योरिटी एजेंसी ने 581 ओमिक्रॉन Cases के आंकड़ों के विश्लेषण से ये नतीजा निकाला है कि कोरोना वैक्सीन का बूस्टर डोज़ ओमिक्रॉन वेरियेंट के संक्रमण के खिलाफ 70-75 प्रतिशत तक सुरक्षा दे सकता है. लेकिन इससे पहले ही दुनिया के 60 देशों में बूस्टर डोज़ लगने की शुरुआत भी हो चुकी है लेकिन इसे लेकर भारत अभी Wait and Watch वाले मोड में है.
