मौनी अमावस्या: वाराणसी में लोगों ने लगाई गंगा घाट पर आस्था की डुबकी

आज मौनी अमावस्या है और वाराणसी में सुबह से गंगा नदी में लोग आस्था की डुबकी लगाने इकट्टा हुए हैं.  कड़ाके की ठंड पर आस्था भारी पड़ती दिखाई दे रही है. तड़के सुबह से ही वाराणसी के गंगा घाटों पर गंगा स्नान करने के लिए हुजूम उमड़ पड़ा है.  खासकर दशाश्वमेध और प्रयागराज घाट पर लोगों की भारी भीड़ नजर आ रही है. 

Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the Ganga on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya on Friday. People form nearby districts and villages reached the city and started assembling on the steps of the ghat since Thursday evening. All temples of Lord Shiva remained crowded and special shringar, arti and bhoj were held in many temples of the city. Prominent ghats especially Dasaswamedh Ghat, Sheetla Ghat, Panchganga Ghat, Kedar Ghat remained flooded with devotees till late in the afternoon.
