केरल के कोझिकोड एयरपोर्ट पर एक बड़ा विमान हादसा हुआ है. भारी बारिश की वजह से एयर इंडिया एक्सप्रेस का विमान रनवे पर फिसल गया. जिसके कारण एक बड़ी दुर्घटना हो गई. हादस में पायलट की मौत हो गई और विमान दो हिस्सों में टूट गया. एविएशन एक्सपर्ट एस.एस पनेसर ने कहा कालीकट रनवे बड़ा क्रिटिकल रनवे है. स्पीड ज्यादा होने के कारण गीले रनवे पर विमान को कंट्रोल करना बहुत मुश्किल हो जाता है. केबिन क्रू को यात्रियों को बाहर निकालने के लिए प्रशिक्षित किया जाता है. कोझिकोड एयरपोर्ट एक टेबल टॉप एयरपोर्ट में आता है. देखें वीडियो.
