Mani Shankar Aiyar

A former diplomat turned politician, Mani Shankar Aiyar is one of the most outspoken members of the Congress. A close aide of Rajiv Gandhi, he was a part of the first cabinet of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He is currently a nominated member of parliament from Rajya Sabha. Mani Shankar Aiyar has a keen interest in grassroots democracy and Indian foreign policy, with India`s neighborhood countries and West Asia in particular. He is also an expert on nuclear disarmament.
