भारत का दुन‍ियाभर में डंका, Covishield के इस्तेमाल को WHO ने दी इजाजत

पुणे की सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया की बनाई गई कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन अब दुनियाभर में इस्तेमाल हो सकेगी. दरअसल विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन यानि WHO ने पूरी दुनिया में दो वैक्सीन के इमरजेंसी इस्तेमाल की मंजूरी दी है. यह दोनों ही वैक्सीन ऑक्सफोर्ड एस्ट्राजेनेका की तरफ से बनाए गए हैं. एक वैक्सीन भारत के सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट में बनाई जाती है, जबकि दूसरी वैक्सीन वैक्सीन को दक्षिण कोरिया की एसके बायो नाम की कंपनी की तरफ से बनाया गया है. WHO के इस फैसले के बाद अब भारत की यह वैक्सीन का पूरी दुनिया में डंका बजने को तैयार है. देखें रिपोर्ट.

The World Health Organisation has granted an emergency authorization to AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine, a move that should allow the UN agency's partners to ship millions of doses to countries as part of a UN-backed programme to tame the pandemic. The AstraZeneca vaccines made by the Serum Institute of India and South Korea's AstraZeneca-SKBio. The WHO's green light for the AstraZeneca vaccine is only the second one the U.N. health agency has issued after authorizing the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in December.
