राजधानी दिल्ली के करोलबाग का एक होटल मंगलवार सुबह जलकर खाक हो गया. करोल बाग के होटल अर्पित पैलेस में शॉर्ट सर्किट से लगी आग इतनी बड़ी हो गई कि इस घटना में 17 लोगों की मौत हो गई है, इनमें कई महिलाएं और बच्चे भी शामिल हैं. आग लगने की सूचना मिलते ही मौके पर दमकल वाहन पहुंचे और राहत एवं बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दिया गया. अग्निशमन विभाग के मुताबिक होटल से सात लोगों को सुरक्षित निकाल लिया गया है. आग इतनी भयानक थी कि लोगों को खिड़की से कूदकर अपनी जान बचानी पड़ी.
At least seventeen people were killed in a fire that broke out at Hotel Arpit Palace in Delhis Karol Bagh area early Tuesday morning. At least 25 fire tenders responded to a call at 4.30 am this morning to conduct rescue operations. While 13 bodies were shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital, the remaining four were taken to Lady Hardinge Medical College and BLK Hospital. The victims also include a woman and a child who tried to escape the fire by jumping out a window.
