संविधान दिवस के मौके पर संसद के जिस सेंट्रल हॉल में पीएम मोदी संविधान की विशेषताओं का बखान कर रहे थे. उसी सेंट्रल हॉल में 26 जनवरी 1950 को संविधान को लागू करने की प्रक्रिया को पूरा किया गया था. देश के संविधान को बनाने की तैयारियां देश के आजाद होने से पहले ही शुरु हो गईं थीं. आजादी की लड़ाई के दौरान ही संविधान को आकार देना शुरु हो चुका था. संविधान सभा का गठन जुलाई 1946 में किया गया, संविधान सभा में कुल 389 सदस्य थे, जिसमें महिला सदस्यों की संख्या 12 थी. 11 दिसंबर, 1946 को डॉक्टर राजेंद्र प्रसाद को संविधान सभा का स्थाई अध्यक्ष बनाया गया जिसके बाद संविधान को तैयार करने की शुरुआत हुई. 17 दिसंबर 1946 को संविधान निर्माता डॉक्टर भीमराव अंबेडकर ने संविधान सभा को संबोधित करते हुए संविधान बनाने की चुनौतियों के बारे में भाषण दिया था. देखें ये वीडियो.
