महाराष्ट्र के सांगली में गांव के लोगों ने साधुओं को बच्चा चोर समझकर जमकर पीटा. कर्नाटक से ये साधु बिट्ठलनाथ के दर्शन के लिए पंढरपुर जा रहे थे. लवंगा गांव के पास ये रास्ता भटक गए और गांव वालों से ही पंढरपुर का रास्ता पूछा, मगर गांव वालों ने इन्हें बच्चा चोर समझ लिया और पीटना शुरु कर दिया. वो तो शुक्र था कि समय रहते पुलिस पहुंच गई और गांव वालों के चंगुल से इन साधुओं को बचा लिया.
