With heavy snowfall in the mountains, the havoc of cold has extended to the plains. The mercury has reached minus 4.4 degrees in Srinagar, while there has been heavy snowfall in Poonch too. There is a white sheet of snow everywhere. Traffic on Mughal Road was stopped due to snow.
