बिहार में नीतीश मंत्रिमंडल का विस्तार 16 अगस्त को किया गया. इसमें राजद के 16 विधायकों को शामिल किया गया है. इनमें राजद विधायक कार्तिकेय सिंह भी शामिल हैं, जिन्होंने कैबिनेट मंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली है. उन्हें 16 अगस्त को कोर्ट में सरेंडर करने का वारंट जारी किया गया था, लेकिन सरेंडर की बजाय उन्होंने 16 अगस्त को कैबिनेट मंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली. इस पर राजनीती गरमा गई है. बीजेपी ने इस पर वार किया है.
Nitish Kumar on Law Minister Kartikey Singh: In the new government of Bihar, 72 percent i.e. 23 out of 33 ministers have criminal cases being registered against them. This also includes RJD MLA Kartikeya Singh, who has been sworn in as a cabinet minister. Instead of surrendering in court, he took oath as a cabinet minister on 16 August.
