देश में अब तक ओमिक्रान वैरिएंट के मामलों की संख्या 224 हो गई है. देश के कुल 14 राज्यों में अब तक ओमिक्रान के केस रिपोर्ट हो चुके हैं. दिल्ली और महाराष्ट्र से सबसे ज्यादा ओमिक्रान के मामले सामने आ रहे हैं. दिल्ली में भी ओमिक्रॉन के कुल 57 केस है, तो वहीं महाराष्ट्र में ओमिक्रॉन के 11 नए केस मिले हैं, जिसमें अब तक इस वैरिएंट से कुल 65 मरीज संक्रमित हो चुके हैं. आजतक से बातचीत में मेदांता के चेयरमेन डॉ. नरेश त्रेहन ने बताया, भारत में तीसरी लहर का आना तो तय है, बस इसका असर कोरोना की दूसरी लहर से कम होगा. तीसरी लहर के दौरान फरवरी के अंत तक देश में एक लाख पचास हजार से एक लाख 80 हजार डेली केस सामने आ सकते हैं. देखें वीडियो.
