Indian men's hockey team made a grand start to their Olympic Games. Team India defeated New Zealand by 3-2 in their first match of Group-A on Saturday. The hero of this victory of Team India was Harmanpreet Singh, who scored the maximum two goals. Goals from vice-captain Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh and a succession of big saves from PR Sreejesh towards the end of the first quarter helped the Indian men's hockey team secure a win over New Zealand in their first match of the Tokyo Olympics.
