दिल्ली के मुखर्जी नगर थाने के सामने रविवार यानी 16 जून को जो कुछ हुआ उस पर रात तक हंगामा हुआ, जिसके बाद नेता-अफसर सब सक्रिय हुए और लगा कि मामला शांत हो गया. लेकिन 24 घंटे बीतने के बाद अगले दिन भी देर रात थाने के ठीक सामने सैकड़ों-हज़ारों लोगों का हंगामा जारी रहा. ड्राइवर के साथ हुई मारपीट के खिलाफ सिख समुदाय के नेता एकजुट होकर पुलिस के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग करने लगे. धीरे धीरे इस पूरे मामले को ही सिख समुदाय और पुलिस के बीच के झगड़े का रंग दिया जाने लगा. आखिर किस वजह से शुरू हुआ यह पूरा मामला सुनिए हादसे में घायल हुए उस पुलिसकर्मी से.
