मणिपुर में उग्रवादियों के कायराना हमले में असम राइफल्स के 5 जवान शहीद हो गये, जिसमें 46 असम राइफल्स के कमांडिंग ऑफिसर कर्नल विप्लव त्रिपाठी की भी जान चली गई. इस हमले में कर्नल त्रिपाठी की पत्नी और बेटे की भी मौत हो गई। इस वारदात के बाद से पूरा देश गमगीन है. ये मणिपुर में असम राइफल्स के काफिले पर हुए उग्रवादी हमले के बाद की तस्वीरें हैं. जहां से घायल जवानों को हेलीकॉप्टर के जरिये अस्पताल ले जाया गया. इस हमले में असम राइफल्स के कमांडिंग ऑफिसर कर्नल विप्लव त्रिपाठी समेत 5 जवान मारे गये हैं जबकि कर्नल विप्लव त्रिपाठी की पत्नी और पांच साल के बेटे आशीष त्रिपाठी की भी इस हमले में मौत हो गई है. देखें ये वीडियो.
Colonel Viplav Tripathi, who was martyred in an ambush set by militants in Manipur on Saturday, was inspired by his freedom fighter grandfather who was also a member of the Constituent Assembly. Kishori Mohan Tripathi died in 1994 when Viplav was 14. It was his grandfather who inspired Viplav to don the army uniform, his maternal uncle Rajesh Patnaik told PTI here. Colonel Tripathi, the Commanding Officer of Khuga Battalion of Assam Rifles, his wife Anuja (36), and son Abir (5) besides four personnel of the paramilitary force were killed in an ambush by militants in the north-eastern state.
